New to me challenge

I just realized one of the books I put on my TBR for this challenge is under 80 pages, this is a big no, no so I had to change it. The book I am talking about is We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche. The book I will be reading instead of this one is Here We Are: Feminism for the Real World by a bunch of people.

New to me challenge

I already told you guys I wanted to read 12 books for this challenge. The first six I want to read I already mentioned. These are the following six books. I don’t know If I will stick to first reading the first six I mentioned and later on these six, but we will see.

Difficult women

I never read short stories especially not those about feminism. Two new genres in one book, yeah for me.

I have read graphic novels but not that many, I want to read more!

adulthood-is-a-myth

This is categorized on Goodreads as a graphic novel with humor. I have never read a book that is supposed to be humorous.

This is about being deaf, I never read a book about someone being deaf. I am truly interested. This is not so much a new genre, I have read books from the heath genre but maybe a subgenre?

The female of

This is about rape culture, something I want to learn more about. Again the genre’s that Goodreads gives aren’t new to me but …

New to me challenge

These are the first 6 books I want to read for the “new to me challenge”. My ultimate goal is to read 12 books, but I don’t know what else to read except for these 6. Suggestions are always welcome.

This book is new to me since it’s non-fiction, specifically autobiography. I never read non-fiction. I don’t know why, I just don’t.

I want to read this book for the same reason I want to read the first one.

of-fire-and

I want to read this book since it is categorized as GLBT on Goodreads.  This is a pretty new genre to me. I can’t remember a book I read that had these elements.

New to me challenge

This challenge is all about pushing your boundaries and trying something new! An author, a series, a subgenre, etc. It is created by the herd presents.

The goal of this challenge is that you read anything “new” to you. For example …
– First time reading an author
– First book in a series
– First book you’ve read from a series (doesn’t have to be book one)
– First time trying a genre/subgenre
– A debut book from an author
To complete the challenge you need to read 12 books with at least 80 pages.

I want to participate in this challenge because I want to read different genres/subgenres. For example I have never read non-fiction or historical fiction. It is my goal to read as many different genres/subgenres as I can. I want to broaden my reading horizon! Not only for myself but also for you guys. Why for you guys? So I can give many different recommendations and possibly broaden your horizons as well. There are so many good books out there, to many to count. If we read a portion of them, we’ve accomplished something great. We can count ourselves divers readers. Why is that important? I think because being a divers reader broadens your view of the world. How you see the world and the people living in it. My goal is to read 12 books!
